DESIGNING & STYLING FOR OVER 20 YEARS.

 

Stacy Lauwers began her career styling wardrobe for productions on the streets and in the suburbs of Detroit, shuttling from set to set in her vintage Trans Am. Her early work includes national television advertising and print ads for corporate clients like Ford and Bissell as well as costume department work on Dream Girls and 8 Mile. Through her latest work Stacy has had the pleasure of learning from and working with directors Iain Mackenzie, Melodie McDaniel, and Josh Taft. Some recent campaigns in include Delta, Apple, and Home Depot.

Stacy currently resides in Los Angeles, California where she is a member of IATSE Local # 705. She is also longtime member of IATSE Local #38 in Detroit, Michigan.

Stacy prides herself on a superior work ethic that took hold at the age of 19, while pursuing a degree in Fashion Design and Merchandising from Wayne State University in Detroit. During her time as an undergrad, Stacy founded the internationally distributed clothing line, “Stacy Lauwers,” successfully balancing her studies and business - selling hundreds of garments per week.

Her impeccable design and sewing skills regularly come into play on Stacy’s productions, ranging from a foam rubber mascot costume to a couture dress and everything in between.

When Stacy is not working 16-hour days, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, yoga, hiking, traveling, car shows, enjoying comedy and live music.
